Sooryagayathri is a charming young singer with a golden voice. She is formally trained in carnatic music by Smt. Anandi and Sri. Nishant. Her father, Sri P.V. Anilkumar is an accomplished Mridangam artist in Kerala and her mother, Smt. P.K. Divya is a poetess with a natural flair. Perks School founder’s day was celebrated on 28th, July, 2017. Our founder late Shri Rama Ranganathan was not only a lover of Carnatic music but can also perform anywhere on any stage at anytime. In his memory, this year, the school decided to invite the child prodigy Miss. Sooryagayathri for its Founder’s day celebration.

Sri Kuldeep M Pai has been her mentor both musically and spiritually whose guidance has helped her navigate her role as an outstanding musician. Sri. Kuldeep M. Pai is planning to release her songs through Facebook anf Youtube.

Sooryagayathri hails from a village of Purameri in Vadakara, North Kerala. We found Miss. Sooryagayathri to be very down to earth and humble. The children of the school were in awe to see a guest who was younger or the same age as themselves perform on stage with confidence.

The event was planned in the morning session. It started off by the cubs & Bulbuls inviting the guests followed by the school band and the Scouts & Guides of the school . The event was organised at the school’s Auditorium.

Navarathri Golu Celebration

NAVARATHRI is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Durga.  The word “Navarathri” means “nine nights” in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine and rathri meaning nights.  Darkness is associated with night.  What is this darkness? It is the darkness of ignorance.
